Rachel Guy
Realtor
Palmer House Properties & Associates
Rachel Guy, Realtor with Palmer House Properties & Associates, doesn’t see her career in real estate as just a job. For her, it’s part of a greater adventure. “My husband [radio personality Jason Bailey] and I live outside of the box, and I love to take my business to that place as well,” she says. “No one is content with boring!”

In 2013, after 11 years as a general manager in the service industry, Guy made the switch to real estate, using her family’s relocation to Atlanta as an opportunity to start fresh and launch her own business. She now specializes in the Atlanta, Roswell and East Cobb markets, and works with buyers and sellers, as well as with police officers through the Secure Neighborhoods Initiative in collaboration with the Atlanta Police Foundation and Pulte Homes.

“This year we closed on seven officer homes, with ground breaking for 20 to 40 more homes next year,” she says, explaining that the program helps police officers afford a new home in exchange for agreeing to live in high-risk areas, with the aim to improve the safety of the communities. “It has been an absolute pleasure working with each of these phenomenal officers, and helping them through their home buying journey.”

Known for her approachability and generosity, Guy views her role of Realtor as something akin to a life coach or therapist. “A common thread among my clients is that they think I am easy to talk to and that they feel like they can tell me anything,” she says. Guy credits her success to the relationships she builds with her buyers and sellers, as well as her ability to read people and carefully consider their needs.

Along with her work with Palmer House and the Secure Neighborhoods Initiative, Guy is a member of the Leadership Board for the Atlanta chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, not to mention a devoted mother and wife. “I’m very good at driving our teenagers here and there and everywhere after showing houses,” she says with a laugh.
